RubberGem was founded with a clear purpose, to turn rubber waste into something worth keeping. Originally established in 2002 as Surplus Conveyors, the business began by repurposing end-of-life conveyor belts from Western Australia’s mining industry, diverting over 160,000 tonnes of material from landfill in its first decade alone.
What started as a local solution quickly became a global operation. Today, RubberGem is home to Australia’s largest rubber recycling site, with state-of-the-art facilities and a team of over 130 based at our East Rockingham headquarters. Using advanced devulcanisation technology and robotic curing presses, we transform tyres and conveyor belts into high-performance rubber products for agriculture, construction, transport, and more.

Our operations go far beyond repurposing materials; we recover, refine, and manufacture with purpose, using advanced systems designed for consistency, volume, and long-term value.
Our brand-new East Rockingham facility is the national hub for high-output rubber recovery, purpose-built to reduce turnaround times, support commercial-scale contracts, and set a new standard for tyre and conveyor belt recycling in Australia. Backed by next-generation devulcanisation and processing technology, it reflects our commitment to smarter, cleaner outcomes across every product we make.
We also operate key sites in Naval Base, home to our original operations since 2002, and in Port Hedland, where we provide on-the-ground support for remote and regional projects across Western Australia.
Together, these facilities give RubberGem Agri the supply certainty, consistency, and scale that today’s agricultural operations rely on.
